We are delighted to be representing the landscape painter Maria Rose. Maria paints mostly ‘en plein air’ creating her impressionistic studies of light and colour on the spot.
Her paintings demonstrate a strength in drawing that underpins all her figurative work, alongside her painterly, sensitive treatment of light, situation and place, all firmly rooted in the traditions of British landscape painting.
Over the last year Rebecca Hawkins has been on an inspiring journey working on a public sculpture commission honouring the Lai dai Han victims of rape in the Vietnam War.
You can follow her work as this immensely powerful and emotional sculpture takes shape via instagram @rebeccahawkinssculpture.
