Born in Luanshya, Zambia in 1975, Nick has a degree in English from York University and background in film and photography.  In 2004 he became a full time artist and now channels his artistic skill and creativity into his natural art.

Nick has pioneered his designs through an enthusiasm to explore and celebrate the natural world and the skilled craft of working in resin, Perspex and wood.  Amongst this variety of natural objects he uses real butterflies from the sustainable farming industry, helping to protect the species by promoting the conservation of their habitats.

Using light, reflections and shadows to replicate movement, Nick continually adapts new techniques and materials to capture his subjects at their most beautiful and diverse.

With sell out shows and a queue of commissions, Nick is rapidly earning a reputation as an artist of real talent, skill and imagination.

A solo show at the Sladmore Gallery in partnership with Grandy Art is scheduled for Spring 2010.
