Page Title
Born in 1978, Tom Hoar is rapidly making a name for himself as a refreshingly talented, up and coming young British artist.
Equally impressive in both watercolour and oil, Tom has successfully exhibited with the Royal Society of British Portrait Painters, the RBA and the Royal Watercolour Society.
Tom has a BA Honours degree in History and History of Art from Oxford Brookes University and has attended life drawing classes at the Royal Academy. Ultimately though he credits his artistic training to his family background. Son of an artist and grandson of an architect, Tom has a natural artistic flair and striking ability. Painting all his life under the encouragement of his father, a professional artist and successful watercolourist, Tom’s work demonstrates a natural talent unconstrained by formal training.
Tom is currently working alongside The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, accompanying the Regiment on their official ceremonial duties and daily routine at Hyde Park Barracks. An exhibition is scheduled for April 2012. |
