Looking beyond the traditional entomologist’s displays, Nick’s contemporary artworks are precisely considered at every stage.

With painstaking attention the butterflies’ wings are carefully relaxed in varying degrees and placed on rods at different heights, capturing the allusion of movement and transience of the species in flight.

Positioning the butterflies on Perspex rods above the mirrors, Nick cleverly reveals both sides of the butterfly exposing the different patterns, colours and shapes on their wings. Safely enclosed within their Perspex frame, light is allowed to flood around the butterflies, to reveal his subjects at their most intricately beautiful.

Nick’s Perspex designs cover a wide range of styles from spectacular pieces displayed on the wall to beautifully designed centre pieces and hand-crafted furniture.

Working closely with private collectors and interior designers, Nick is also available to commission and artworks can be specifically suited to match the interior and architectural space.
