Collaborating with Resin specialists over the last five years, Nick Jeffrey has pioneered and since mastered the art of casting his natural art into clear resin.
Casting natural objects including leaves, flowers and butterflies into liquid resin, pieces can be set in all manner of styles and are often combined with beautifully crafted wood and lighting effects to produce stunning and practical art forms.
Working with specialist furniture makers, Nick has recently created a bespoke Entomologist's desk. Casting the artist’s own tools into the resin in honour of the craft and science of entomology, it is complete with its own light-box and revolving whisky cabinet and designed to service all the requirements of a modern-day entomologist.
A new Kotoshiru-gū coffee table with a resin and butterflies centrepiece, shrine-like gold leaf panels and spalted beech frame will also be on show in the forthcoming exhibition. |
