Born in 1975, Henry Garfit has made a name for himself in recent years as a respected contemporary abstract painter and printmaker.

He attended the Slade and Camberwell Art College before heading west in 2003 to work as a full-time artist and now works from his studio not far from St. Ives in the far west of Cornwall.

Since then Henry has exhibited widely throughout the UK in numerous group and solo shows, including most recently contributing to a major public gallery exhibition of British Printmaking at Newlyn and the Exchange Gallery in 2011.

Henry Garfit's latest collection New Relief Prints follows his portfolio of Screenprints launched in 2007 and is the culmination of his years of experience in printmaking and belief that the medium ‘can offer endless possibilities for artists creating new work to this day.’

Henry Garfit is currently exhibiting at Eight, London EC1, in collaboration with art club m{us}e@EIGHT, is a combined show of both New Relief Prints and Screenprints and diverse portfolio of the artist’s work to date. Viewings are by appointment.
